Our Facemask Policy, Revised

Starting Friday, the city of Fishers is going to start requiring a mask in public settings. When I woke up this morning and saw the news, I wish I could say that it was a surprise. But honestly, it felt like a matter of time until that was going to be the next step of our attempt to get control of the situation.

I still remember back when government and health officials were optimistic that the summer heat would kill the virus. (Ha, good one.) We’re starting to see it play out that we can’t rely on external situations like weather patterns; it’s up to us and our actions.

So beginning Friday, we will be requiring facemasks from our patients. We have plenty of spare masks at the office, so if you are in need of one we can supply it for you. And after the six week trial period, hopefully we start to notice some positive traction in the case numbers, we get closer to putting this pandemic in the rear view mirror, and our lives are better because we paid this price.
