5 Sure-Fire Ways to Have the BEST First Visit
Thank you for scheduling your first appointment in our office! We are honored that you have trusted us with your care and are looking forward to the opportunity to serve you. Over the years, we have learned that certain things help your first appointment go as well as possible. Please follow these steps in order to have the best experience on your first visit:
- Bring your ID and Any Insurance Information: We see a lot of patients that do not carry health insurance, but we also understand that patients might want to use benefits that their policy offers for them. If you happen to have any insurance that might apply for future sessions, please bring your insurance card or have your identification number ready for us to check while you are here.
- Be Punctual: Your first visit is the most important when it comes to punctuality. Our patients have more flexibility with their visit times after they have started care, but we set aside specific times for new patient first visits due to the length of those visits. If you are running late, we will likely need to reschedule your first visit.
- Know the Plan: We understand that most people who come into our office for the first time are in pain. But it’s important that we do all the proper analysis BEFORE we do any adjustments. We will provide care as soon as we have a proper understanding of your situation and assure that the therapies and techniques have the best chance of helping you.
- Ask Questions: We go through great lengths to provide information that answers any and all questions you may have prior to you ever stepping foot through our door. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask. We are very straight forward and are here to help, but we can’t answer any questions that you don’t ask.
- Have Realistic Expectations: The old saying, “Rome wasn’t built in a day” applies here. Most people who come into our office have had underlying spine problems for YEARS before they ever had any pain or complaints. Our goal is to help all of our patients get well and stay well as quickly as possible. But we are trying to help your body heal, NOT drug it so it doesn’t feel anything. Healing takes time. Please be patient.
We are looking forward to meeting you!!
